SH-MGS-SH Recap

Posted on October 20 2015

This past Friday, October 16th, was the first ever ‘Shanghai to Moganshan and Back’ Race. 16 brave participants took to the streets at midnight, ready to embrace the 400+ Kilometer journey. It was a test of personal strength and endurance as they bombed across Shanghai in pure darkness towards the 700 meter 12 degree climb.

An incredible 11 people finished the race, including Nelson Trees who boasted first place with a time of 16 hours and 20 minutes. Although only 5 riders were able to finish in the 24 hour deadline it was high fives all around as the majority returned to Factory Five early Sunday morning. New friendships were formed and everyone admitted to experiencing one of their toughest rides to date. Thankfully there were no accidents and everyone finished in one piece.

We’re already planning the next event so if this is something that interests you be sure to check back on the blog real soon!
