Last night’s ride

Posted on August 01 2012

Last night’s ride was rather special. We broke free from Puxi and cruised through Pudong. We crossed down at the southern Sangang line and wound up through the super-local Shangpu village.

Then we hooked up with the Expo roads; smooth, flat empty stretches of bliss. We’re pretty sure the air really is clearer in Pudong. People actually live there too! Next to the Nanpu bridge is a 24hr ferry which brought us back to safety. Here’s a post on peoplesbike.com with operating hours for each of the ferries.

We’ve been getting to grips with Strava recently and plotting our rides. This week’s monster 35km loop is available here.

The good folks down at China HQ insist that GPS maps report a transposition so the actual route is off by a 50 metres or so. It’s pretty easy to work it out though.

If you use Strava then join our Factory Five Club and get involved. Here’s the route from last week, and the week before.
